Grant was released from the hospital earlier this week and is doing much better at home. He spent most of the day on Tuesday off of oxygen and therefore was ready to go home. Unfortunately, it appears that Dylan now has mild RSV as well, but so far he is not having any difficulty breathing or eating. He is just coughing a lot. We are praying that his body fights it off without hospitalization. We are holding up, but I have to be honest, all of this added excitement has made the transition to twins even more difficult! Thank goodness for the extra help from my mom and the generosity of my friends Alex and Andrea who have kept us very well-fed over the last week.
Other than the sickness, the boys are doing very well. I'm still somehow managing to breastfeed them but am allowing myself a break once a day when they get formula. They are sleeping decently so far -- both recently started sleeping for five hour stretches occasionally at night. Grant actually rolled over from his belly to his back right before he got sick at four weeks old. Both love to be held, love to eat, hate to have their diapers and clothes changed and hate to be bathed! We always say they are excellent babies -- there's just two of them, so when one's being good the other is misbehaving! :)
