The Michigan State Fair

We ventured out Friday and took Nora to the Michigan State Fair. Now, let me start by saying that the Michigan State Fair is so, so, so much smaller and less exciting than the Iowa State Fair, but it might have been a good first experience for Nora. She has tons of books about animals and two of her first words were kitty and duck. She went absolutely crazy in the animal barns. It was hilarious! She was screaming and pointing and waving her arms frantically. It was definitely one of those special parent/child moments that Jarrod and I will never forget.

The camel picture especially for Grandma Thomas who definitely rode a camel just a couple of years ago at the Iowa State Fair. I have the picture to prove it.

The first petting zoo we stopped at -- Nora squealed with delight!
