The Boys:
The boys are doing great. They are growing up very quickly, exploring, discovering and FIGHTING! We're still not getting the concept of sharing :). They have really started interacting with each other though and will play in their cribs every morning -- laughing and talking to each other. They give each other hugs and kisses and yell for each other when they're not around. They are still into absolutely EVERYTHING and cannot be left alone anywhere except in their playroom.
They are really starting to talk a lot lately! New words they've added are Memaw, Dip (for dipping ketchup), No (this one's fun), outside, cracker, cookie, sissy, kiss, I do (Grant), What did you do (sounds more like what doo doo - again Grant says this), dog, car, eyes, nose and ears (Dylan is the body part guy).
Nora:
Nora has been growing up so fast. She finished her first year of preschool this year with a wonderful concert. She also had her first picture day at the dance studio. She has been able to attend two spring festivals already this year and has loved riding the rides!!! And the biggest step of all ... she got her first big girl bike (with training wheels of course). We were so proud at how quickly she picked it up. She has been doing so well. Her dance recital is a week from Friday (to be determined whether she will actually dance). The week after her dance recital she starts summer camp at her preschool. We are looking forward to an exciting summer. This year we purchased a little pool for our back patio. Nora has been loving riding her bike and going swimming!!
Jarrod and I:
Jarrod is almost done with his fellowship and ready to enter the real workforce. For those that haven't heard, we are staying in Detroit. Jarrod got a job working ER radiology overnight shifts in Cleveland. He will be traveling to Cleveland for 7 days and working 12 hour overnight shifts. Then he will be home for 14 days with no work! He will only work 17 weeks a year. It will be nice having him home so much, but we will miss him when he's gone. I love my dance job in Detroit and was very reluctant to move away, so this is our compromise. We are hoping it will work out great! Congrats to my hubby on all his hard work. Over the last year and a half, he has taken two sets of boards, searched for a job, accepted a job, got licensed and got credentialed for seven different hospitals. I know he is really looking forward to all that time off now!
I'm in the middle of my dance season with competitions and recital keeping me busy. Our recital is right around the corner and I will be traveling to Florida in July for our dance nationals. Then in early August I'm headed to L.A. as a chaperone/teacher on our dance studio's study trip. Busy times ahead, but exciting times too.
