So to continue on our August update ... we returned home the day after Nora's birthday and after an exhausting drive back to Michigan, we were all so excited to be back under the same roof together again. You don't realize how much you miss the "routine" until you're totally thrown off of it for a long time! We had a birthday party at home in Royal Oak with all of our closest friends on Sunday, the 22nd. Since we don't have family near by, it is so nice to have such great friends to call on during such a special time. Here are some pics of the kiddos. This party was wild with lots of kids and unfortunately we didn't get pics of them all. But Nora's friends Ally, Vanessa, Lily, Max, Nico, Luca, Zachary and Olivia were able to attend along with their parents. And our good friends Brandy and Scott (who we celebrated with last year) were there as well. Here are some pics of the event and a video of us singing to Nora. I owe a big thanks to my mom who helped me buy decorations and plan the event while we were in D.C.
