Well, we survived our first Christmas at our house and while the traditions were different it was still really special to celebrate Nora's second Christmas at our own house. The week was full of activities as we took a quick jaunt east for Nora to meet her Great Great Aunt Ruth, and her Great Aunts Kim, Deneen and Sharon (Grandma's half sisters) and their families. She was a good little traveler as we were only there for 24 hours and did lots of visiting. Then we spent the rest of the week at home with visits from Uncle Rudy and his girlfriend Nicole and Grandma Thomas. She took her second trip to The Henry Ford, a Detroit historical museum, and while everyone else looked at presidential limosuines, the Rosa Parks bus and the theater chair where President Lincoln was shot -- Nora ran around screaming at the top of her lungs. We have found high ceilings and open spaces are very exciting for her. I guess we might need a bigger house!!! Nora was a great gift opener on Christmas morning and she was definitely more interested in opening gifts than she was in what was inside. She got a lot of new toys, which was good, since Mom and Dad were even getting bored with her old ones. :) I also included some videos of her below -- one of her doing an arabesque for all my dance friends and one of her walking down the driveway at our house (since I haven't put a good walking video on here yet). I posted lots of Christmas pictures below as well. We are looking forward to a trip to Western Iowa in a couple of weeks to see Grandma Linda and Poppa Bob to celebrate Christmas with them.
