Grant and Dylan turn one-year-old!

On December 20th of this year, we hit a HUGE milestone. Grant and Dylan celebrated their first birthday! It was so great seeing them on that day and thinking about the past year and how they have challenged and enriched our lives. They are such good little boys and I realized when reflecting how lucky we really are. A few highlights of what Grant and Dylan are up to at a year old so that we can share this with them when they are older and to record for their baby books which are still sitting on their dresser (I will get to them - I promise!)

- They are both crawling and cruising.
- Grant stands on his own for a few seconds at a time.
- They both say some words. Grant says: Hi, Nora, Dylan, Uh oh, Kitty, Mama and Dada. Dylan says: Hi, Nora, Uh oh, Kitty, Mama and Dada. Both of them repeat words all the time, but haven't started saying them on their own yet.
- They sleep 12 hours at night from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m. and take two 1-2 hour naps (morning and afternoon) They are awesome sleepers! We are so lucky!
- They are completely off the bottle! Yippee!
- They commonly fight over toys and have now already started hitting, pinching and scratching each other.
- They have an obsession with all the things they shouldn't -- cell phones, computers, cords, etc.
- They each still only have two bottom teeth.
- Dylan loves all things musical and Grant loves anything he can pound on. Both absolutely love their big sister and literally squeal with excitement when she wakes up in the morning.
- They are so good-mannered and very sweet and they have brought us so much joy!!!!!

For their birthday we had a small birthday party in our tiny house. Luckily the week before, Grandma Linda and Poppa Bob were able to visit for a full five days. It was so nice to see them on the holidays since we hadn't been able to the last few years. While they were here, we took a trip to the mall and a trip out to dinner and just had a great time catching up. It was so nice to have them here for the boys birthday. Memaw came for the party too and we were able to get our babysitters, Erin and Debbie and their families, into the house as well. Here are a few pics to document the day. I got lazy and let Grandma Linda take a lot of the pictures so I will share those when I get those!
